The First Step

Alanna took her first steps yesterday! She was standing up holding onto the couch when she let go and took two steps towards me. It wasn't me who she was interested in though -- I was holding Elmo. I didn't get any photos or video because I didn't expect her to do it, but here is a photo of her and her favourite red monster.

In other news, she can say dada and mama, but not in context. However, if I ask her to say "mama", she'll say "dada"; so that's progress, right?
